08.22.26

Grateful for my faithful friend Rachel
for walking, talking, sitting, swinging, praying and persevering with me ❧
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing,
Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable,
and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.”
Philippians 4:8, 23

Loved being with sweet seat mates this morning ♡

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”
Matthew 7:24-27

He’s faithful through generations
So why would He fail me now?
He won’t
He won’t

Thankful to get to accompany one of my favorite veterans as he signed this wall today.
I’m very proud to call this man Dad!
He not only served our country in the Air Force, but continues to serve our community well today.
The Englewood Veteran Memorial Wall is a true work of art,
made even more beautiful with the addition of the signatures of our hometown heroes!
Thank you to everyone involved in bringing this project to life! What a special day!!

Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness
while I am here in the land of the living.
Wait patiently for the Lord.
 Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

From Grandmother Minnie and Aunt Bessie worshiping in these pews to Drew preaching today…
I’m thankful for faithful saints through the ages who sing in joy and sorrow while seeking Jesus.

I Stand Amazed

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner condemned, unclean.

How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!

He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calv’ry
And suffered, and died alone.

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
‘Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!
