Reflecting back while also looking ahead...
One of the things I love most about New Year's Day is the feeling of a fresh start, a clean slate. While there were many things, people, and moments that made me smile, laugh loudly, and rejoice last year, there were also moments of great sadness, loss, and heartbreaking tears. In other words, real life. Just because I’m not “feeling it”, doesn’t mean that the Lord isn’t with me or that He has failed in His faithfulness. I stopped keeping track of counting my good gifts with a photo each day and realized that I missed that creative outlet. I also missed the opportunity to consciously notice at least one thing to thank God for every single day. Gratitude really does effect my heart! I'm setting out to be more intentional counting God's good gifts in 2020!
For the Mighty One is holy, and He has done great things for me.
He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear Him.
His mighty arm has done tremendous things!
