Thankful for the caring staff at Dominion Senior Living and the loving way they serve others.

The rain moved us indoors but they still found a way to host a Welcome Back BBQ,

complete with live music and yummy homemade banana pudding!

My gratitude overflows for our health department professionals. 

Almost exactly a year to the date since we were in the same location being tested for the virus the first time, here we are together again with these kind, patient caregivers. They are still being kind, patient, and gentle. And they are still smiling! Hopeful that the vaccine will bring wellness to the community and relief to those who have been caring so well for so many people for so long.

It was 35 degrees in the night so I did not have the "best sleep of my life" like my Pal said I would.

I woke up at 3 a.m. worried that I was only worried about bears and forgot to be worried about snakes.

I misplaced my headlamp, just like Scott warned me could happen.

Sooo, I couldn't move around in the dark.

But...His mercies begin afresh each morning!

I bet I have a pretty great sleep at home in my bed tonight.

Good news- no bear or snake sightings! 

And I had plenty of time to pray for some friends during those wee hours of the morning. 

The sun came up, we had a great hike back down the mountain, and I'm already willing to go again!
