What do these two things have in common?
Not much, it would seem, but they show it was a two gift counting kind of day!
It was a fun Mother-Daughter Lunch and Flower Buying Date Day in Cleveland.
And we *can't* go to that big city and skip a trip to CFA, now can we?
A quick mobile order on the app and we'll be on our way.
Or so we thought....
I snapped the first photo to alert Emma it was gonna be a "minute" before our milkshakes were ready.
After spending more than a few minutes smiling at the joyful teenage banter,
which even included a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday" and chatting with CFA Carl,
I struck up a conversation with a nearby adult who looked like she was with the group.
Turns out that the three bus caravan was from a city we used to call home~ Birmingham, Alabama!
We found out we had mutual friends which was fun.
But what JOY to discover we both ADORE the same sweet friend!!
Time passed quickly as we chatted, the line dwindled, and yes,
I did finally leave with our milkshakes in hand and a giant smile on my face.
Oh, and we made it home in time to plant the pretty new flowers just before the storm arrived!

What a treat to have unhurried time in our Oasis this morning!
I loved watching this beauty flit and float and flee all around our flowers!!

Did this bring arthritis pain relief? No. No, it did not.
Did this bring any kind of pain relief? No. No, it did not.
What it did bring was a good dose of hearty laughter!
Turns out, the active ingredient is the same as what is in pepper spray.
And that is exactly how this felt on my skin and in my lungs!
And apparently soaking in the tub with the doors closed is not the way to make it go away.
Now that I can breathe freely again, the coughing has subsided, and
my skin is no longer on fire, I will continue chuckling and toss this guy in the trashcan!!

One of the BEST surprises and delights of our garden all summer!
Just when I thought all hope was lost with this little rose bush,
turns out she just needed some tender loving care. And some more water.
And now, we have THIS new bloom with ten more baby buds with the promise of new life!
Thank you, God for this sweet good gift at the end of the month!
