"Everything on earth will worship You;
they will sing Your praises,
shouting your name in glorious songs.
Come and see what our God has done,
what awesome miracles He performs for His people!"
Psalm 66:4-5
10.01.22
Since Emma had an early call time for work,
I got to enjoy the slow start to Saturday and sub-in for her
Morning Walk with Grantch!
Grateful for moments to walk, talk, cry a bit
(it was a chilly fall morning, but not exactly red nose chilly!),
and then take care of special, important work
10.02.22
Started the day early with this book. That was a good idea.
Made it to church to be encouraged by worship and The Word. Another good idea.
But these were not my ideas.
Thank you, LORD for encouraging me
and teaching me again and again
how important it is to PRAISE YOU.
Even when I don't feel like it.
Especially when I don't feel like it.
Grateful for today's timely message
that I'm gonna save right
Praise the LORD,
Praise the LORD, you His servants;
praise the name of the LORD.
Let the name of the LORD be praised,
both now and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the LORD is to be praised.
The LORD is exalted over all the nations,
His glory above the heavens.
Who is like the LORD our God,
the One who sits enthroned on high,
Who stoops down to look on heaven and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
He seats them with princes,
with the princes of His people.
he settles the childless woman in her home
as a happy mother of children.
Praise the LORD.
Psalm 113
10.03.22
Thanking God for beautiful weeds and quiet moments on the farm today
10.04.22
Hooray for a back deck lunch date and checking boxes on to do lists with this one!
10.05.22
The LORD is good and kind to give me precious friends
who looked me in the eyes this morning
while I cried
and reminded me HOW GOOD and FAITHFUL He is
and that it is it okay to not be okay.
We held hands and prayed and for those moments
ALL WAS WELL.
"For where two or three are gathered in my name,
there am I among them."
Matthew 18:20
Thank you, Lisa and Kay for loving me so well this morning.
And sending me home with the charge of taking a nap!
10.06.22
So encouraged by my friend's boldness for Christ as she does a brave thing.
Also, it is fun to do citizenshippy with my Dad.
And via texting my Emma who was watching livestream
and my Pal who just always seems to "get me"
10.07.22
Always, always, always love catching a glimpse of my favorite sunbeams!
This parking lot view serves as a great reminder that
venturing out this afternoon meant (two!) JOYful run-ins
with some super sweet friends at the grocery store!!
10.08.22
Here's to a Full Fall Festival-y Day in Our Town
Ever grateful for the many ways Emma cares for others! And me...how she cares for me!
Thankful for spots of sunshine where we could listen to our music men at TWU Homecoming
and then...
Very GLAD that my perfectly timed one stop at Pumpkintown gave me the best hugs and photo op!!
10.09.22
After a lot of activity and full days,
today my body (and mind and heart) said
That's Enough!
...and insisted on making it a FULL day in the bed...
Thankful for rest
and time to watch this encouraging movie!
10.10.22
"LORD, our LORD,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set Your GLORY in the heavens.....
When I consider Your heavens,
the work of Your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which You have set in place,
what is mankind that You are mindful of them,
human beings that You care for them?
...
LORD, our LORD
how majestic is Your name in all the earth!"
Psalm 8:1, 3-4, 9
Thank you, LORD for the GLORIOUS, stop me in my tracks, view of the moon
on my way out for my walk this morning!!
It's actually perfect that it can't be captured by my silly little phone camera!
10.11.22
Sure did brighten my day to be greeted by this JOY spreading bunch
(and the sweet door opener, too!!)
Hooray for a coffee, coffee, coffee fix before running errands in our own Stars Hollow!!
10.12.22
The changing leaves are good for my heart!
...So was the STUNNING sunrise and conversation during our second walk this week,
and my Full of GRACE friend, Richelle, who waited on me for a coffee date!

This remnant of summer beauty just keeps hanging on...
I love how vibrant it is against the autumn colors surrounding it!
(This one's for you, Sis)
10.15.22
Goodness did we enjoy this roadside stand!!
I've wanted to stop here for years and today, we made it.
Rows and rows of all sizes of pumpkins and gourds
and so many different colors of ginormous mums!!
Thank you, Emma for carrying all the treasures
and especially for digging this guy out of his hiding spot!!
10.16.22
"The faithful love of the LORD never ends,
His mercies never cease.
Great is His faithfulness;
His mercies begin afresh each morning.
I say to myself, "The LORD is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in Him!"
Lamentations 3:22-24
Loved this gift of a beautiful sunrise
before getting to gather for worship
and more gift counting with our church family
10.17.22
This tree and her stunning yellow leaves- what beauties!!
I loved watching the leaves fall and dance to the ground.
Then I realized they are marking yet another changing season.
Change can be hard, but that isn't that same as bad.
We have gotten to share quite a few changing seasons on our Monday morning walks.
And for that, I am very, very thankful.
Some have been harder than others, but the consistent theme of our song is:
We can trust the LORD.
He is GOOD and He is God.
Today I was glad to get to share (paraphrased of course!) what I had read earlier that morning...
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
According to His GREAT MERCY, He has caused us to be born again
to a LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading,
kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being
guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary,
you have been grieved by various trials,
so that the tested genuineness of your faith-
more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire-
may be found to result in praise and glory and honor
at the revelation of Jesus Christ!"
1 Peter 1:3-7
10.18.22
Thankful for a Date Day in the Big City with my Best Guy
doing some of our favorite things and a new thing too!
10.19.22
"For the LORD is good.
His unfailing love continues forever,
and His faithfulness continues to each generation."
Psalm 100:5
It's good for my heart to remember this.
And also to put pen to paper and tell others how thankful I am for them ♡
10.20.22
It's a TWO gift counting kind of day!!
1) Thankful that Rachel and I do not have a temperature minimum for our walks.
I would have missed out on some BEAUTY in the fields and in her encouraging words!
2) Grateful for storytime with Micah as he read me books, books, and more books!
He's definitely the teacher when it comes to dinosaurs!!
10.21.22

They were the best and most enthusiastic campaign helpers around Our Town!

Fabulous Family Fun on the Farm
We all roasted hot dogs and marshmallows,
rested and relaxed in chairs and enos,
took Ranger rides (and drives) and threw some axes too!
But at the end of the day,
I'm pretty sure everyone's camera roll and heart were most full of
JACK
the newly named official ambassador of Windswept Farm
and the coolest donkey we all know!!
10.23.22

the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night."
Psalm 121:5-6
10.30.22
Praising GOD in ALL the seasons,
because HE is FAITHFUL
I wept as we sang this song this morning during worship...
thinking about the countless ways God has been faithful to me in the past
and how that means I can trust Him for the "not yet" parts of my life now...
"God is Faithful (Psalm 114)"
by Sovereign Grace Music
God brought out His people with a strong and might hand
Took them out of slavery to behold the Promised Land
Mountains fled before them and the seas turned back and ran
And they saw that He was good
God is faithful to His promise
He is with us, He is with us
God is faithful, God is faithful to His own
God has come to free us from the bondage of our sin
Tasting of His kindness we cannot go back again
Leads us through the desert to the rivers of His grace
Working all things for our good
We have known Your mercy and Your love as in the past
If days be few or many you will guide us to the last
You have said it, we believe it, every promise holding fast
For we know that You are good
God is faithful to His promise
He is with us, he is with us
God is faithful, God is faithful to His own
You are faithful to Your promise, You are with us, you are with us
You are faithful, You are faithful to Your own
