The main point of today's sermon based on this psalm was:

Only contentment in Christ can rescue you from the snare of envy. 

Spending my Sabbath rest in the Oasis so I could feast on this view and

focus on what God has and is doing in my life was a very good choice.

So much thoughtfulness and care and creativity and talent (!) 

went into a mid-service donut reception on this "Spring Forward" Sunday!!

 What couldn't be captured in a photo though is 

the GOODNESS of GOD that got me out of my house to worship!

And the GOODNESS in the verbal welcome "To all who are weary and need rest, 

To all who mourn and need comfort...To all who sin and need a Savior..."

...and the sweet, loving hug from Layla...

...and the perfectly timed, comforting prayer from Joy..

...and joining our voices in worship!

It has taken me well over six months (maybe nine...) to read this book.

But as I sat in one of my favorite places finally reading the rest of it, 

 and finishing the final two chapters through many tears,

I knew exactly why my friends had encouraged me (repeatedly) to read it. ♡

Thank you, friends for walking with me this past year and pointing me to Jesus,

and also pointing me to books that can be like friends too.
